A cultural project in continuous evolution

Over the years, Imola in Musica has established itself as a complex and multidisciplinary cultural project, enriching itself with ever new content and languages.

The program offers concerts of every musical genre – from pop music to rock, from classical to opera, from jazz to folk music – with Italian and international artists. Alongside music, the festival integrates artistic performances such as dance, ballet, painting, and exhibitions, which animate the city's most fascinating places: squares, courtyards, gardens, and historic buildings.

A national cultural reference point

Thanks to the originality of its format and its ability to renew and evolve over time, Imola in Musica has become a symbolic event for the city and the territory, gaining increasing visibility on the national scene.

Each edition manages to surprise both the loyal audience and those who discover the festival for the first time, always offering new experiences and cultural attractions. Over the editions, the stage of Imola in Musica has hosted some of the most important artists of the Italian music scene, including: Roberto Vecchioni, Irene Grandi, Simone Cristicchi, Pino Daniele, Edoardo Bennato, Francesco De Gregori, Fiorella Mannoia, Luca Carboni, Nina Zilli, Modena City Ramblers, Enrico Ruggeri, Noemi and many others. The presence of big names, combined with the variety of proposals, has contributed to attracting a wide, heterogeneous and intergenerational audience.

A festival of excellence recognized in Europe

Imola in Musica has received the prestigious EFFE Festival Label, which places it among the best European festivals.

Out of 761 festivals selected in 31 countries, the Imola event was awarded by an international jury based on three fundamental criteria:

• Artistic commitment
• Community involvement
• International vision

An award that enhances the great organizational work and confirms Imola in Musica as one of the most anticipated and representative cultural events in the city.

Since 2006, the special "Imola in Musica" Award has been given to musicians from Emilia-Romagna who are able to combine local traditions with contemporary musical languages.

The festival also promotes a call for entries open to groups and musicians, offering them the opportunity to perform as buskers in the streets of the historic center.
